2010 Compensation and Needed New Paradigm (Speech)
March 2011
Johnson Associates presented at the WSCB in March. It is our view that there is a real need for a new compensation paradigm, and therefore compensation must change to reflect new environment. Firms need to better signal Executive Compensation, including (for example) tying specific metrics (like ROE) to changes in executive pay. Need better communication on compensation ratios drivers and outcomes. Expectation for base salaries to be higher, with continuing adjustments coming.
